LAST DAY CRUISE THIS SUMMER sponsored by Cortes Museum to HISTORIC DESOLATION SOUND. Cruise through one of the most beautiful marine parks in B.C. Experience the fascinating maritime history with skipper/naturalist Mike Moore aboard Misty Isles - First Nation villages, anchorages for British & Spanish explorers who first charted Desolation Sound during the 1700s Age of Exploration, and the rich marine features of this stunning area from birds & mammals to the dramatic mountain scenery. Follow some of M. Wylie Blanchet's route from her famous book "The Curve of Time" and delve into early pioneer settlement.
Relax, enjoy tea & cookies on board, bring your picnic lunch, bathing suit & towel for a swim in the surprisingly warm waters, dress for the weather, bring an extra pair of shoes, and don't forget camera and binoculars!
