Wondering what you can do for the lakes?

Well, the BC Lake Stewardship Society is offering a fantastic course that will provide training in how we can take better care of our precious freshwater ecosystems. Water quality monitoring, lake ecology, watershed assessment, and planning, are some of the topics to be covered in this 2-day course.

The workshop will be taking place on Quadra Island (location TBA) and we will spend the second day of the training at the Village Bay Lakes (which have also experienced algae blooms for the past three years). This is a fantastic opportunity to get some training and build our local capacity to be stewards of our lakes.

DATES: September 20 - 21, 2014
