Hello Cortes Food Folk
On Wednesday, May 14th at 10:30 am at Manson's Hall Pioneer Room there will be an open public Question & Answer session with Cina Opel, health inspector, Joseph Baratta's supervisor, from VIHA. She will offer whatever clarity and assistance she can about how to be in compliance with the regulations.
When the public session comes to a natural close, she will stay and help individual vendors work though their specific applications to certify their food and food-making processes. This will save people from having to go to town to meet individually with Joseph. If food vendors can come with applications already started that would be great. Of course, high risk foods will still need to be made in certified kitchens.
This of course is only one of the many strategies before us and others are being worked on as well.
