Over a hundred people enjoyed the “We See Seaweed” show at the Old Schoolhouse Gallery, Friday, August 30th.
Irene Blueth, Isolde Ruthenberg (Izzy), and Anicca de Trey present a whimsical and comprehensive look at Seeweed with installations, sculpture, photography, collage and silver jewelry, demonstrating the diversity of marine algae and the creativity of these three women. Additionally, we had seaweed clothing and food stuffs!
Everyone had smiles and sales were brisk. This is the last show of the season, make sure you see it! Saturday and Sunday 2 - 6 PM. Next week Friday 6 - 9 PM and Saturday and Sunday 2-6 PM

What a community! Thanks to everyone who came to the opening and made it so much fun, Izzy, Anicca and I are still buzzed. Thanks to Rose Wooldridge for delicious sushi, Richard Trueman for expert photo printing, to Blair Cooley for help mounting the show, and to Garvin Morris for beautiful made-on-Cortes frames. And thanks to Janet and Lynne and the rest of the Schoolhouse Gallery people.
