Can a landlord refuse to rent to families?
In my search for a mold-free, affordable rental on Cortes Island, I've heard "it's just not suitable for children" far too many times.

Section 10 of The Human Rights Code forbids discrimination in tenancies based on a person's race, colour, ancestry, place of origin, marital status, family status, physical or mental disability and gender or sexual orientation.

There are a few landlords around our lovely island who could benefit from re-reading this section. Just saying...
