Cortes Island Music Festival
The Cortes Island Music Festival has a new website!
Check out this year's exciting line-up so far, and get all the info

This marks the 12th annual Cortes Island Music Festival and we are so excited about what it has grown into and what we hope it will grow to be.

The festival was created to give all the talented people on Cortes a chance to perform and share their music with the community. As it’s grown, amazing artists from all over BC have come to play, giving lesser known artists a chance to share the stage with some incredibly talented people. Our hope is to continue to bring in talented artists from BC and around the world to collaborate and perform with our local artists. This is how we grow, and get better as artists and performers.

This festival is a labour of love and we are enjoying every minute of planning it. However, it takes a lot of time and unfortunately a lot of money to put on a festival, even a little island festival, and each year it is a struggle to cover costs. We want to not only maintain the festival, but invest into its future. That’s why this year we are asking for a minimum donation of $40 for the whole weekend. We think it’s worth it and we hope you do too. We will be as transparent as we possibly can about our costs and earnings with you. Any funds earned above costs will be put into an account and invested into next years’ festival.

We’d like to work towards paying our artists in years to come, we want to have more workshops, more room for camping and lots of other things.

You have lots of time to save up your nickels and dimes but if you can't contribute financially we’re happy to have you sign up to volunteer or donate an item for our silent auction. If you aren't able to do any of those things have no fear! Send us an email to and we’ll figure something out.

We are very excited for this special weekend!

We will be posting updates as they happen, so stay tuned!
