The Gorge Hall Workbee and Plant Sale was the cheerful, busy event that it always is. Many thanks to all who came out to help---with special mention to:
Rosemary Wooldridge and Izzy Ruthenburg who worked both in front of and behind the scenes on the plant sale, and their busy crew of helpers, as well as to all who donated plants, picked them up in town, and bought them, and to the businesses in Campbell River who made generous donations to us; we raised over $500.
to Gabriel Dinim and his creatively deconstructive crew who got the old woodshed down in a tidy and organized fashion, cleaned the gutters, mowed the yard and left everything looking well cared for.
To the indoor crew who cleaned and scrubbed, wiped and mopped, sorted and swept, leaving
every surface, cupboard, nook and cranny spick-and-span inside and out.
To the Senior's group for lending the soup-pot for our lunch.
We didn't do any painting, that will happen in a fall painting-bee to prepare the hall for the 80th birthday party in November.
thanks again everybody!
