The recipes are chosen and the grocery lists are in!
Come to SEAFEST 2013 May 18 and enjoy new oyster dishes + old favourites:

"Red Pepper Poppers" Oysters in a roasted red pepper sauce - a hint of smoky sweet and spicy smoothed with Parmesan - drizzled over oysters dusted with Italian herb flour and pan-fried.
"Jumped up Jalapeno" A delicate hot sauce of pickled Jalapenos and Dijon mustard with a hint of sugar and apple cider vinegar over oysters knapped in buttermilk and fried in cornmeal powder, then topped with minced shallot.
"Oysters Motoyaki" on the barbecue in a half shell of creamy miso and Sambai Oelek chili garlic sauce.

Plus these well loved favourites:
Oysters Rockefeller prepared by the Sawmill Bay Co team from Quadra;
"Del's favourite" oysters glazed in lime marmalade and stone ground mustard;
"That prawn recipe" with Thai sweet chili sauce, water chestnuts and cucumbers;
Mussels from Island Sea Farms & Clams steamed with stories by Brent Petkau.

On the side:
Romaine salad, steam fried noodles, slivered almonds and artisan garlic bread from the Cortes Natural Food Co-op.

Thanks to CCCU for sponsoring the Festival shuttle again this year.
The only thing better would be a circus entertaining you in that food conga line.

Celebrating Local Food from 11:30 until 4:00 ish on May 18 at Squirrel Cove Commons.

See you there!
