Welcome & Welcome Back

Thank You! To our new and returning staff whose hearts, skill and dedication help make Hollyhock the rare place it is. To neighbours who create the special and dynamic community that nourishes all of us. And to our generous Board of Directors, share-givers and donors who support Hollyhock’s programs, campus greening, and tuition scholarship fund.

First Program of the Season
We welcome our first program guests on April 24th as they participate in our annual Metta-Vipassana Retreat to deepen their spiritual practice in silence and contemplation.

Volunteer Program
Our first group of volunteers arrive on April 22nd. This four-week program offers an opportunity for people to step out of the flow of their everyday lives, while living and offering service in a community setting in this island paradise we call home.

Hollyhock only exists because of the strength and commitment, along with the vision of years of islanders’ energy that has been put into this project and place.

It remains our priority to cultivate local relationships with food growers, artists and service providers. You’ll recognize many islanders in our catalogue of program presenters, find beautiful art and crafts by local artisans in our gift store, and taste delectable fresh food from Cortes gardeners.

You are always welcome, and your support means so much to us.

Warm spring wishes,
