If you have books to share we would be happy to have them-modern fiction, modern childrens and young adults, poetry, classics, non-fiction of all kinds, science fiction, Canadiana, and local authors-and DVD's of all kinds (some documentaries would be great)-we also are looking for a couple of step-stools to access the higher shelves, ceiling lamp-shades, and a gently-used laptop computer, which could be purchased for a reasonable sum. We think it would be a great service to have the Library online when it's open-Fridays from 1 PM to 3.30 PM-for those users who don't have a computer at home.
We have a selection of old-style VHS tapes that nobody might want anymore, if you do, please let us know and we will keep them, or maybe you can take them home.Otherwise, except for a few classics, they will be taken to the free store.
We are very cramped for space, and are always having to make decisions regarding what stays on the shelves. We might not be able to keep everything that you brings us but are still grateful for every donation.Right now we are cutting back on our Mystery section, but will keep a number of works by each author that we have, and would like our users to weigh in on their favorites. If there is an author that you like, please let us know and we will keep a good selection for you. (I am insisting on all the Agatha Christies)
Donations can be dropped off during library hours, or call Brigid at 6623.
