Lovena and Ryan
Ryan and Lovena Harvey would like to humbly thank this incredible community for the support we have been showered with in these last three weeks.

We are truly grateful and in awe of the power of love and kindness this community is overflowing with.
Our ability to rise and face this challenge is due to you. With the strength of the community surrounding us, we are recovering. Our thankfulness could fill pages…….

Thank you for towing vehicles, chopping and delivering wood, bringing amazing meals in dark of night and rain, gentle bodywork on our bruised bodies, caring for our children, making deliveries, offering donations, sending cards and drawings, leaving heart felt phone messages, sending energy and holding us in your thoughts and prayers.

A special thank you to The Whaletown Firefighters, Dave Robertson, Dave Warkentin, Christian Grebenhart, Alex Bernier and Bruce Brown for being so fast on the scene and stabilizing our situation (also to Gary Thompson and Hubert Havelaar who were on the scene). Thank you to the Cortes Ambulance Crew, Liz Richardson and Julia Rendall for your attentiveness and care. Thanks to our amazing Cortes Medical Clinic and the Coast Guard crew for transporting us to Campbell River. Thank you to Pat Peterson and Tracey Tressor for your home visits.

The power we have as a community is infinite. While there are differences between us the real magic is how we support each other, how we come together in times of challenge and hold each other up. This is how we are the same and it is for this reason, so many of us live on this remote island.

The rest of the world may have forgotten, but here we remember, one hand reaching for another is a gift that is irreplaceable. For with that hand there is another and the web of hands lifts us, holds us and makes us strong again.

Your meals, phone calls, donations, childcare, energy and prayers have been instrumental in our healing. We are recovering and will be back among you very soon.

In gratitude, Lovena and Ryan
