CCFC Secretary - David Shipway
Thank you Cortes Islanders! With your help we've completed another big step!
Thank you to our Klahoose partners, Co-op Board and members who helped prepare and edit the text of the Community Forest Application. The Partnership approved and signed the final draft, and Klahoose Chief James Delorme delivered packages to Mark Anderson, District Manager of the Sunshine Coast Forest District, and to Heather MacKnight, Regional Executive Director for the South Coast Region, Ministry of Forests, on Friday, Sept 7th.
We appreciate the extra effort and support given by Greg Hemphill, Brian Smart and Aaron Ellingsen in reviewing and formatting our document into a truly professional presentation. The Co-op Board is looking forward to discussing next steps at a membership meeting planned for late October. Place and date to be announced soon.
