The Old Schoolhouse Gallery in Whaletown opened Friday July 13th for their 4th show of the season with “Primordial Process” by Lisa Gibbons featuring new paintings, mixed media and collage-sculptures.

Lisa technique is rich, sensuous, and evocative. In her words, “The work represents a culmination of my observations, experiences, and visions during this transition from a predominately human-designed world to the world designed by life itself, by nature, by the relationships among living things. This process has led me into an exploration of images that appear around me and echo from ancient human expression of those same archetypal images.”

This viewer especially liked the sumptuous quality in the gold leaf paintings. One of them heads this article.

Show continues Saturday and Sunday July 14,15 and 21,22, 2 till 6 PM and next Friday July 20th, 6 till 9 PM
