The Southern Cortes Community Association Annual General Meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 22 at Manson's Hall. The agenda and president's report are on the home page of the SCCA's new web site: www.mansonshall.org
Plans for relocating Canada Post in the hall, adding enough mailboxes for everyone, and information about the library closure and negotiations from the SCCA's point of view are included in the report.
The AGM will provide an opportunity for questions, answers and discussion.
Our new web site, developed by webmaster Elinor Bazar and writer Coreen Boucher, is one way to find out what's happening at the hall, check out rental options for an event or Friday Market table, submit a rental request, join the SCCA or renew your membership, make a donation and get a tax receipt, and contact the hall office.
Details about the services and organizations in our community centre are on the site, including Canada Post, Vancouver Island Regional Library, Cortes Community Radio, SCCA Thrift Store, Cortes Cafe, Playschool, Babes in Arms, Parents & Tots, Skatepark, Reel Youth, Pottery Guild and Friends of Cortes. Details about special events like Cortes Day and programs like Summer Youth Recreation are also on the site along with information about the SCCA, its mission, directors, staff and membership.
