Strathcona Regional District
The Strathcona Regional District will be hosting a town hall meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at Manson’s Hall on Beasley Road, Cortes Island to provide information and obtain input on the 2012-2016 budget and servicing plan.

This meeting will be of interest to residents of Electoral Area B (Cortes Island) as discussions will centre around servicing levels and related costs. These services include:

• Strathcona Emergency Program and 911 Answering Service
• Land Use Planning
• Community Parks
• Refuse Collection and Waste Management
• Electoral Area and General Government Administration and Grants in Aid

The Regional District’s 2012-2016 Financial Plan, which is available for viewing online at or at the offices of the Strathcona Regional District during regular business hours, will be presented for adoption by the Board of Directors at its March 22, 2012 meeting.
