Good afternoon Nancy,
Thank you for the two notes. I did not remember more than the first two words in each of the first two acronyms below, but now I do.
Wayne and I will likely be over to visit Cortes early in the New Year, at which time we would be looking to share more information with interested members of the community. We will post a similar message as we did in November to alert interested people of our visit plans, as well as let Noba know of our visit.
Regarding your repeated question of Island Timberland’s reluctance to photography and filming. We are sensitive as representatives of our employer as we know information provided within one situation can quickly be taken out of context and misinterpreted. In the case of the field tour filming, it is very difficult to have a natural conversation when there is someone putting a camera in your face continuously; it places the speaker, whether presenter or attendee in a more guarded position. Our staff came to the Island for Friday and Saturday to share information and learn more of the community’s many perspectives of our activities. As I am sure you would agree, we answered all questions insofar as our plans have been developed to that time. We were not looking to be deceptive with a request for no live filming.
Thanks again for the emails. Have a fantastic holiday season.
