Meet your guide: Brett Melvin

Brett's five years experience paddling started on Adams Lake in the interior of British Columbia. He since has moved to Vancouver Island during the summer months, and has been guiding on the waters of the West coast and the inside passage. In addition to his kayak guiding skills, Brett is also a swift water rescue technician and a flat-water canoe instructor. Although sea kayaking is his passion, his outdoor background includes mountaineering, ski touring and climbing.
