We are pleased to announce the recent appointment of Richard Andrews to the CNFC Board. Richard brings a wealth of experience and passion for grass-roots enterprises, group facilitation and community development. He has been involved with CNFC since the beginning quietly helping out as a volunteer.
In addition Ron Bazar has volunteered to act as temporary manager with Caleb Summers, as assistant manager, who has offered his volunteer services until March 2012.
In a previous incarnation, Ron was a consultant for Choices Markets natural food store in Vancouver, and holds an MBA from Harvard while Caleb has managed a worker’s coop, and has a masters degree in Sustainable Business Management from the Bainbridge Graduate Institute.
The Financial Committee Jason Andrews and Caleb, have been volunteering their time to update our financial information into a double entry bookkeeping system that at last allows us to have much more current information than before. Thank you Jason and Caleb! This is so valuable to have for the Coop.
With strict controls in place, and your continued support, we are confident that we can pull out of a tight financial period we are facing this winter.
Our fiscal condition, unfortunately, requires that we withdraw our financial support of the café this winter. Current café staff and other interested locals are exploring possibilities for continuing to offer some version of a winter café. Watch for changes and announcements of evening events, Friday open mics, and later a Special Valentine’s Event -TBA
Café Open 9-4 daily, until Nov. 27.
Come in and shop locally. Watch for enticing sales.
Watch for a new update newsletter to our members later next week.
