Watch for this Western Red Cedar interpretive sign on the Steam Donkey loop in Kw'as Park. The Western Red Cedar is a remarkable tree with many interesting properties, as you will see on this sign designed and illustrated by Cortes Island artist Dianne Bersea, interpretive message written by Conrad Dombrowski. Conrad & Dianne have also created several other signs for the park, including one about the nature of wetlands (located at the Hague Lake Road park entrance) and one about our wild canine neighbours -- the wolves (located on the Steam Donkey trail).
