This is your chance to tell the Commissioner - the people who will be advising the Government on the best changes to make to the ferry system – what you think and want. Everyone is affected by ferry fares - food, gas, building supplies, heating fuels, necessary travel to Campbell River or anywhere off Cortes for goods or services not available here.
The BC Ferry Commissioner will hold a public meeting on Cortes Island on Monday, October 17, 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
at the Mansons Landing Community Hall.
The Commission is appointed under the Coastal Ferry Act to regulate fares and service levels of the ferry operator, BC Ferry Services Inc. on 25 saltwater routes. The Commission is independent of both the provincial government and BC Ferries and is presently conducting a review of the Coastal Ferry Act. Public input is invited.
