Join us in Celebration at Hank’s Beach on Wednesday, August 24th at 3:00 p.m.
Words of Appreciation, Refreshments & Gathering….
So rarely do we stop to actually celebrate our community accomplishments together. Let this be one of those rare and beautiful summer moments. Join us! That's you!
Hank’s Beach is a park today thanks to the very generous land donation by an individual who wanted to protect this very special place.
Everyone is welcome. A great opportunity, in company with friends, family and new faces, to embrace the ambiance of the park in the spirit of celebration and thanks. You are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair and plan to stay awhile beachside (weather permitting and spirit willing). Plan to extend your stay into the evening by bringing a picnic.
Hope to see you there!

Hank’s Beach Forest Conservation Park, a 62 ha (153 ac) forested property on the south-east shore of the Island, was gifted by the Tides Foundation to the Strathcona Regional District and is the result of a major donation by a private individual who wished to see the property preserved and contributed funds to assist in protection of the site in its entirety. In keeping with the conservation covenant held by The Land Conservancy of British Columbia, and the Ecological Gift status of the land, the Regional District will be managing the land as a public park, offering respectful levels of public use in keeping with the primary management goal of maintaining ecological integrity and mature forest ecosystems.
