Hollyhock
Dear Friends & Neighbours,

Hollyhock officially launched our 2011 season with the arrival of our first guests
who took part in a Garden to Table retreat. An in-depth exploration of food from the earth to the table with Nori Fletcher and Rebeka Carpenter, who lead our garden and kitchen.

Thank You! To our exceptional staff whose hearts, skill and dedication help make Hollyhock the rare place it is. To neighbours who create the special and dynamic community that nourishes all of us. And to our generous Board of Directors, share-givers and donors who support Hollyhock’s programs, campus greening, and successful scholarship fund.

The hospitality industry in our region is down an average 30% compared with last year. Every day we are working diligently and wisely to help Hollyhock navigate and thrive. We’re grateful for our fabulous staff members who are going above and beyond every single day, doing more in a lean environment.

It remains our priority to cultivate local relationships with food growers, artists and service providers. You’ll recognize many islanders in our catalogue of program presenters, find beautiful art and crafts by local artisans in our gift store, and taste delectable fresh food from Cortes gardeners.

Check out opportunities to engage in life-long learning, and peruse our online catalogue.

Interested and need help to enroll in a program? Our scholarship fund grants partial tuition scholarships, and we welcome Islanders to apply and contribute.
