Here is an overview of what's being offered:

ACTION & ADVENTURE
Action packed adventure & skill building physical activities all summer long include: kayaking, mountain biking, action games, hacky sack, archery, martial arts, capoeira, skateboarding, gymnastics, acrobalance, rugby, soccer & ball games.

Along with Lisa Jo's culinary courses Employable Cooking Skills for those 11-15 & Cooking for Folks & Friends for 7-10 year olds that are offered the month of August, a new culinary course will be offered this year: Healing Through Nutrtion by Sheri Ranger (Peacebar).

CULINARY
Along with Lisa Jo's culinary courses Employable Cooking Skills for those 11-15 & Cooking for Folks & Friends for 7-10 year olds that are offered the month of August, a new culinary course will be offered this year: Healing Through Nutrtion by Sheri Ranger (Peacebar).

THE JEDI NINJA SUPERHERO/INES School
Channel your energies like a jedi, learn the ethical code of a spiritual warrior & tap in to your Superhero self. This youth empowerment orientated course will include martial arts, swordplay training with practice equipment, adventure walks, the moral code of combat and hero quests. May the Force be with you.

CIRCUS School
The circus is coming to town…and staying here all summer long! Weekly training in the flow arts like poi, staff, hula hoop & juggling along with guest coaches & circus camps (including Flying Fox Circus) to instruct in stilt walking, aerialist silk work, clowning around, costuming, acrobalance and contact work.

VOCALIZE IT!
Beat boxing, MC and freestyling, finding your inner voice, vocal training and exercises, and coaching on how to project your presence, overcome stage fright, spoken word & poetry recitation refinement, how to tap into your mythic storyteller and everything else to do with the human voice.

MAKING SWEET MUSIC
Throughout the summer there will be instruction & performances by talented local and renowned guest instructors on a variety of instruments, from the basics like guitar, bass, drums, piano to exotic instruments like the tabla, didgeridoo, sitar, ude, mandolin, etc. along with West African drumming & singing, making rhythms with your body & expressing yourself through the medium of music.

DANCE & MOVEMENT
Yoga, ballet, hip hop fusion, West African dance, salsa, Rajasthani Gypsy dance, gymnastics, swing dance, contact dance and dance self expression are some of the dance forms and movement exercises taught throughout the summer.

THEATRICS
A summer of stupendous theatrics laid out for youth inclined towards the stage. Improv theatre, stage direction and on stage basics, fairy school, clowning, prop building, costumes and mask making, live action storytelling, story play and theatre games help youth build confidence and tap into their stage personas.

SO YOU WANT TO BE A DJ?
Learning how to tap into your radio persona, use studio equipment, mix music, make a radio broadcast play, record promos and broadcast live on 89.5 fm with Lilith on Tuesdays 10 am til noon during her daytime show.

MULTI-MEDIA
This course covers topics like projecting presence, creating bumpers & storyline, environment creation, asking poignant questions, learning to make digital visual art, with youth going on filming walks, editing footage as well as learning studio technique.

ARTforms & CRAFTING
Hands on crafting courses in felting, blacksmithing, pottery, mask making, costume making (including a tutu making course), leatherworking, woodworking and sewing. There is a prolific body of artists on the island who use many mediums to create their works. The youth summer arts program strives to touch on as many of these as possible. Painting, drawing, aerosol arts, screen printing, face and body painting, using nature to create art (moss printing, rock rubbings etc) and more traditional artforms will be offered throughout the summer.

Brochures and registration sheets will be printed and available at the hall with registration opening on Thursday June 23rd at 11 pm and run until 6 pm at the skatepark with an all day registration party and an exhibition of what instructors will coach youth in this summer, including: circus performance, a skatepark competition, music and activities for the kids.

After that, registration at the Hall on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 11- 4pm until programs start July 4th-August 24th.
