Friday July 15, 2011 - Monday July 18, 2011 spot graveling, and profiling will be the main focus as crews will be working to prepare the road for the Graded Aggregate Seal Coat application. On Monday July 18, 2011 the Graded Aggregate Seal Coat will begin to be applied (weather dependent) on Bartholomew Road at the Sutil Point Road end. Once the Graded Aggregate Seal Coat is applied, please drive with extra care (i.e avoid sharp turns, quick acceleration, etc.) as the material is vulnerable to damage for the first 3 days. This is because the material needs time to properly bond. Please respect the 30km/h and 50km/h construction speed zones, and obey all traffic control signage and personnel. We advise the travelling public to use alternate routes (when available) or plan your travels with lots of extra time. Delays of up to 20 minutes are expected. Also be cautious when traveling on Harbour, Carrington Bay, Whaletown, Cortes Bay, Bartholomew, Squirrel Cove, Seaford, South Sutil Point, and Potlach Roads because they are now a gravel surface. This will be the state of the roads until the Graded Aggregate Seal Coat is applied. Next update will be Tuesday July 19, 2011.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
