A Query from Good Libations
The company we obtain our wines juices from has a new product line called “The Lounge” and it’s ready-to-serve cocktails. They have started with three: Pina Colada, Mojito and Cosmo (‘Cosmopolitan’). These are real cocktails in that the flavours are natural, not artificial. The only difference is that the alcohol is produced by fermentation rather than being added by the bartender. They are very inexpensive -- $4 per 750ml bottle which is only about $1.50 or so per serving. And I have to say that the Pina Colada really does taste good (the only one I tasted.) A slight glitch here: the way the U-Brew rules work, I can’t sell it by the bottle. I have to do it by the batch (30 bottles) and it has to be ordered and paid for in advance. But, it can be organized as a group project with the 30 bottles shared among several people.
I’m not sure how I feel about this personally. I see myself as a “little ol’ winemaker” and this is getting a bit off the track. But if there’s enough interest I’d be willing to give it a go. Let me know what you think. Thanks.
