The CCHA, through the Program Committee, is looking for committed people to fill the following positions.
Family Support Coordinator:
If you are interested in helping and supporting families, this part time position maybe right for you.
We are looking for someone who is aware of the challenges families face while living on the island and are willing to offer to help by: networking, researching and developing enriching programs as well as supporting the existing ones, researching grants, organizing activities and connecting with services on and off island. Hours are flexible and mostly self-directed. The Family Support Coordinator will have the use of a shared office space at the Health Centre. This position will involve some traveling around the island and use of a phone, computer, and transportation are essential.
Teen Szene Coordinator:
If you are interested in working with 13 to 16 years of age by coordinating the activities of a club-model program that provides a safe, supervised space for its members, as well as educational, community service, and social activities for young people, this is the job for you.
The Teen Szene coordinator will be expected to help make connections with Island teens between 13 and 16 years of age and their families; to organize and hold regular meetings; to co-create the program and plan activities: to hold fundraising events and help with research and applications for grants and subsidies; to work with and recruit volunteers to help supervise and carry out activities. The coordinator will also be expected to meet and report to the CCHA Board and its Program Committee on a regular, mutually-agreed upon basis. This job requires an average of approximately 5 hours per week.
