General News · 9th November 2010
The Cortes Community Health Association needs to correct their notice of the Extrordianary General Meeting, scheduled for November 15, 2010. The petition, to which they have written notice that they are calling the meeting for, states "to explain the actions of the CCHA in regards to to space leased to the physcian at the Health Center" but the petiton speciically requires the CCHA to answer the community petition request to answer why:
"that the doctor who has worked for many years, Dr. Kirstie Overhill, has been denied a contract renewal as the Corstes Island physican, after a period of disability, with the Vancouver Island Health Authority for reasons that are unknown by the community and that the Cortes Community Health Association has written to Dr. kirstie Overhill, dated August 31, 2010, that no space in the Cortes community built Health Centre will be leased to her.
Therefore, your petitioners request and call upon the Cortes Community Health Association to hold an Extraordinary General Meetingt before September 30, 2010 to explain their actions and their authority to carry out such actions."
The CCHA must correct their notice to the members of the Cortes Community Health Association by publishing a corrected notice but without delaying the Extraordinary meeting date of November 15, 2010 meeting.
