Facilitating Successful Community Process and Decision Making - Tuesday, November 2nd; 6 pm to 9 pm
Open Gathering - ALL WELCOME!
Linnaea School (classroom across
from the kitchen)
How do we, as a community, harness our energy so that conflict becomes an opportunity for growth?
How do we listen? How do we speak? How do we facilitate an environment in which intense diversity of opinion leads to fruitful discussion? How do we be the positive change we want to see? Please join us and be part of a fun and thought-provoking evening.
We will gather for social time and to share food from 6:00 to 6:45. Meeting will begin at 6:45.
*Note from this week's facilitator:*
The focus of this week's meeting is to be Listening, a.k.a. "Deep Listening" or "Active Listening". This most basic skill of communication is something that I'm passionate about and is something I'm interested in mining our collective intelligence on. I have a few experiential activities that can get the ball rolling to help us get at this wonderful, beautiful experience which everyone uses at some point - be it in women's circles, men's groups, with one's children, friends, partners or even oneself.
So please get interested And feel free to invite someone you feel might benefit from a night of learning how to listen so that the really hard-to-get-at, important things can be uncovered to help us grow together.
