Dr Barry Glickman
I remain concerned and even distressed that the applicants for this shellfish tenure apparently are not intending to directly participate in the public forum being organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Lands. It seems ridiculous that however well-intended, the other stakeholders are forced to meet in the absence of a representative of the Klahoose Community who are making the application.
We do need to thank Noba for her efforts to encourage public dialogue about this application but to think that this dialogue can be meaningful to the community without genuine Klahoose participation is folly. We may argue about the health of the Gorge but this process is damaging to the health of the community. Has this no value?
