On Monday October 25th the Ministry of Agriculture and lands will be hosting an open community dialogue on Tenure #1411211 – Klahoose Shellfish Limited Partnership Gorge Harbour Application. The aim of the meeting is to provide community members with the opportunity to hear, be heard and share information about the application and the process. Attached is a map which displays the site of the application.
The community meeting will be held at the Gorge Hall on Monday October 25th, from 7pm until 9pm. The session will be guided by independent facilitator Kel Kelly and associates, who will hold space for all to be heard productively. Ministry staff will share information on the background and details of the application, biological review, and the aquaculture tenure and license decision making process. This will be followed by a dialogue in which community members can seek answers to questions, and share comments and thoughts on the application.
You are welcome to join us an hour earlier for an informal meal at 6pm. Some food will be provided, additions are very welcome.
I look forward to seeing you there and please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
