John Sprungman
I received the following email information today (Aug. 16th) from Max Walker, Area Manager,
Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure
Vancouver Island District, Courtenay Area Office:

"Crushed gravel is scheduled to be barged to Cortes the week of August 30th.

"Emcon will use some this material to address the failed areas in preparation for asphalt repairs.

"Asphalt patching is scheduled for following Labour Day.

"The work will generally consist of spreading asphalt patching material with a grader and compacting it on the prepared surfaces. The finished transitions and dimensions will be consistent with adjacent portions of the roadway."
