Notices, Workshops & Rides: The next two dye workshops
When summer ends, I will have the time to wind dozens or possibly hundreds of skeins of wool again, and we can get back to seasonal dye workshops.
There will be two: Late September will have us looking at the last of the dahlias, sunflowers, and other garden beauties, and with luck some early dye mushrooms---Paxillus, Phaeolus , Lobster mushrooms---depending on the weather.
The November workshop might be mushroom oriented; again weather dependent, but with luck I will have a good stash of Sarcodons ready and the woods will be full of Dermocybes. If not, there are plenty of other cool things to learn about at that time of year, the roots and barks, and lichens, and all things of early winter. I am waiting to get the dates that the Gorge Hall is available, but if you are interested please let me know, as I would like to have a sense of how many people might like to be involved, and I will keep you posted.
