Letter to the Community
Re: In Camera Meetings
The South Cortes Community Association (SCCA) does not hold “in camera” meetings except as advised by legal counsel.
During my two year term as president office only one topic was covered by an “in camera” motion. The topic was regarding litigation against the SCCA and the purpose of going into an “in camera” session was to have a letter advising that the litigation had ended with the death of the litigator. The letter was sent to the SCCA from the lawyer for the insurance company.
The purpose of going into an “in camera” session was out of respect for the family and friends of the litigator so as to not have the information in the minutes of the meeting. That meeting was January 2009.
The minutes of all meetings are available in the Manson Hall office to be read by SCCA members.
