At the special W.C.C. Members Meeting of Monday 17 May, The following motion was PASSED by a wide margin.

Motion from the floor:
Whereas the membership of the Whaletown Community Club has voted no against a Property tax and Service hall funding process, that we ask the President to write to the Regional Board of Directors within one week, asking the regional Board to withdraw and remove the March 15th request to begin the process of writing a new tax bylaw.
PASSED
Vote count:
PASSED 44
OPPOSED 15
ABSTAIN 4

Seems to me that the intent and purpose of this PASSED motion is to inform the W.C.C. Executive and Regional Board Members that the Community Club membership SUPPORTS FUNDING OF COMMUNITY HALLS BY MEANS OTHER THAN TAXATION.
