The Community Coalition Against a Service Hall Tax has misinformed you about the WCC Special Meeting to be held on Monday, May 17th.
They claim there won’t be “a vote by membership to see if they even agree to financing by property taxes”.
But on April 27th, as Secretary to the WCC, I mailed and emailed a notice of a Special Meeting which clearly states that you will have the opportunity to “discuss and vote on . . . our participation in the tax funding process.”
Make sure you come to the meeting to find out the truth of the matter. Come and present your position for or against the issue in public and then vote.
Note: While the meeting is public, only paid-up, Regular WCC Members over the age of sixteen are eligible to vote at this meeting. Associate Members from outside the Whaletown Postal Area are not eligible to vote. Memberships can be purchased before the meeting ($15 for families, $10 for single persons).
