Notices, Workshops & Rides: Two Indigo Classes
I will be teaching two classes featuring different approaches to the indigo vat. The first class will work with fructose and henna, and the focus will be on wool, although these vats are general purpose. The second class will feature a vat that is specifically for cotton and other vegetable fibers, as it is reduced with iron, which can damage wool. It is, uniquely, a cold vat, so it can be used with arts requiring wax or paste resists. It gives very dark colour and doesn't require long dips, so might be adapted to print making also.
Place: Gorge Hall
Dates: Sat. Jan 20th, wool/general class
Sun. Jan 21st, cotton class
Time: 10 AM--4 PM both days
