Interested in supporting French educational, social, and cultural opportunities and events for our Cortes children and youth? You are invited to become a member of the Cortes Island chapter of Canadian Parents for French(CPF). You do not have to be a parent to join. CPF (www.cpf.bc.ca) is a non-profit community based national organization that promotes and supports opportunities for children to learn and use French. You are invited to attend the Cortes Is. Chapter founding meeting THURS. JAN. 21 at 2:00 p.m. in the Pioneer Room,Manson's Hall. Glyn Lewis of CPF from Vancouver will be in attendance. Childcare is available. In order to form the new CPF Cortes Is. Chapter there must be at least 10 CPF members at the founding meeting.(you can join at the meeting). Cost of a one year membership is $25 with 80% or more of all membership fees coming back to the chapter.This money could be used to help support activities such as French Clubs and French Day Camps during the summer (for a variety of ages),French cultural events.
