Come to Mansons Hall December 6 (Sunday) from 3:30-5:30 for a Cortes Housing Initiative (CHI) presentation of the Housing Survey Results. Also included is an introduction to the Housing Models that received most community support in the survey. Plus learn about CMHC repair grants for homeowners & renters.

Cortes Housing Initiative (CHI) researches, develops, and supports alternative housing solutions that improve quality of life for Cortes Islanders. The purpose of the CHI Survey was to assess our current situation, identify future needs, and explore possible housing solutions.

Comfortable affordable living space fosters the well being of island residents. Stable housing attracts skilled and energetic adults as well as young families with children to become members of our community, where they can contribute their talents towards creating a vibrant & resilient Cortes.

You can help create more housing options for your children, friends, family and neighbours. Be part of the solution, come prepared to join a working group of your choice, and make it happen by attending the December 6 (Sunday) meeting from 3:30-5:30.

Free childcare in the Pioneer Room. Complimentary tea party with free cakes, cookies, and coffee. Please remember to carpool with your neighbours.

Funding for this event has been generously provided by Affordability & Choice Today (ACT) and the Strathcona Regional District (SRD). Special thanks for on-going support by Friends of Cortes Island (FOCI). Contact Krista 935-0128 or Sandra 935-6676 for more details about this CHI Event.
