The H1N1 Vaccine will be available starting October 28, 2009 at the health centre
VIHA is giving residents of isolated communities priority for both the H1Nl and regular seasonal flu vaccines. We will be providing a flu clinic this Wednesday October 28th at the health centre from 10-4 pm vaccinating for H1N1 for those people under 65 years.
Subsequent weeks as more vaccine becomes available we will be immunizing over 65 years with the H1N1 flu vaccine and the regular seasonal flu for those people under 65 years with chronic conditions or increased susceptibility to flu on starting November 4th. We will be receiving additional flu vaccine supplies on a weekly basis until we have immunized all residents that need a flu vaccine in our community.
We will also be providing H1N1 and seasonal flu vaccines during our regular Tuesday weekly clinics at Klahoose. We will be adding an extra flu clinic this week Oct 29th at Klahoose for H1N1 vaccination.
We encouraging all residents to be vaccinated as we are currently seeing an increase in flu in our community.
