This coming weekend, Fri Oct 23rd & Sat Oct 24th, griot (traditional story-teller & musician) Kocassale Dioubate, of the Mandingo tribe from Western Africa, will be visiting Cortes Island to facilitate west african drum and dance workshops as well as a special kids hour of cultural fun & education with story-telling and participative musical entertainment. Workshops are welcome to drummers & dancers of all levels, and people are welcome to sign-up for one, some, or all of the workshops.
