Short Notices & Workshops: HOSPICE TALK & MORE
Jacqueline Spies from the Hospice Society in Campbell River will give a talk about the hospice, end of life care and much more. She will tell about the workshops they organize for people who are about to loose a loved one or lost one. There are manuals and workshops about grief and anxiety reduction, not only around dying but also related to dealing with Alzheimer's, addiction and suicide and which other niches there may be. We will discuss the needs on Cortes and what we and she can come up with to deal with those, like give a training on Cortes for volunteers in end of life care.
Jacqueline has a degree in nursing and a masters in social work. She specialized in end of life care.
Younger family members and caretakers are also welcome.
March 27, 1-3 p.m. in Manson's Hall.
