Cortes Island Museum
THE MUSEUM IS MOST GRATEFUL:
BUNCHES OF ROSES and huge thanks to all the artists and crafts people who opened their studios or demonstrated at the Museum and SchoolHouse Gallery for the Cortes Museum's first Studio Tour on the long weekend. And thanks also to all the visitors who bought tickets in support of the Museum and persevered to tour the studios on such hot days.
MORE ROSES & THANKS to the musicians and artists for Art in the Garden during July at the Cortes Museum -- Elizabeth Anderson (collage), Ruth Zwickel & Diane Elliott with the Cortes Quilters (quilting), Sue Ellingsen & Alden Sherwood (strings duo) and the toe-tapping music of all the McKenty family.
A SPECIAL BOUQUET OF ROSES to Diane Elliott for loaning the Museum her unique "Wild Pond" quilt highlighting things that live in Sprungman's Pond. It now hangs as a complimentary display to the Museum's new Wetlands exhibit.
