The Old SchoolHouse Art Gallery is pleased to announce its 2009 Season Calendar.

Please notice we have scheduled 3 Group shows this year, all local artists are invited to participate in any, or all, of them.

The dates indicate the weekend (Friday to Sunday) for each show.

2009 Season Calendar

July 10-12 and July 17-19 - Small Works - Group show. This will be the Season Opening. Any theme, any media is valid. The pieces may be two or three dimensional, on canvas, board, paper, ceramics. The technique may be acrylic, oil, watercolour, collage, print, photo, textile, whatever you want. The only restriction is that all works need to be small.

July 24-26 - Tianna Barton solo show. Photography with no specific theme. This will be Tianna's last show in the island for a long time, since she is moving to Montreal to continue her studies.

Aug 1-2 - A Shared Studio - Group show. This special show will be part of the Studio Tour organized by the Museum. This will give those artists with no studio the opportunity to show their works. Artists interested in being part of this shared studio, please contact norberto at 8549

Aug 7-9 and Aug 14-16 - Mary Dudley, Ayami Stryck and Diane Daly - closed group show. A beautiful mix of techniques, around fabrics

Aug 21-23 and Aug 28-30 - Essence of Portraits - Group show. This is about any portrait we want to do, but without an exact representation of the physical entity, but its fundamental nature, its spirit. It may be a self-portrait, our friends and relatives, our pets, wildlife. The pieces may be two or three dimensional, on canvas, board, paper, ceramics. The technique may be acrylic, oil, watercolour, collage, print, photo, textile, whatever you want.

Sep 4-6 and Sep 11-13 - Meinsje Vlamming solo show

Sep 18-20 - Lost Wood Awakening by Inga Schumann & Natasha Meredith. Combination of photography and wood objects, which are brought back to life through reused materials.

Looking forward to seeing all the community at the Gallery. Come and check the ongoing renovations at the Gallery, have a chat with the artists, laugh with your friends, have a glass of vino and a nibble on us...

Thank you all for your continuous support and see you soon !
