Cortes Island School
School District 72's new Superintendent of Schools, Mr. Tom Longridge, will be visiting Cortes Island School on Thursday, March 12th. The first part of his visit will involve meeting with students and staff members, and getting a sense of how the school is progressing.
Mr. Longridge would also like to take the opportunity to meet and talk informally with community members about any thoughts and/or perceptions they may have about our school.
This meeting will take place in the library from 1:30 p.m. until Mr. Longridge leaves to be on the 3:50 p.m. ferry. Anyone who is interested in meeting Mr. Longridge is encouraged to attend and it is not necessary that attendees have children who are enrolled at Cortes Island School.
We are hoping to have a large turnout at this meeting so that Mr. Longridge can get a wide range of opinions and information about our school. This will help give him a sense of what is happening here and how the school is meeting the needs of the children and the community. Call the office if you have any questions at 250-935-6313
