The tiny little oranges that are ripe about now are said to make great marmelade. Naranjitas, as they are called, are about an inch and a half in diameter, and raw, are very sour!

The house Diane and Ray are in has a big tree just crammed with fruit and today we got energetic and made marmalade. Richard was sent to the Mercado to buy sugar and Diane and I boiled, stirred, and and sterilized. We ended up with quite a large batch. Ray poured it into the jars. It tastes different from the Seville Orange marmalade, more like lime.

Diane plans on lime marmalade next. We had a lot of fun doing this. I guess we are missing doing chores or something. :-)
