Our local FAC meets twice a year with a management team from BCF to discuss local issues. We also communicate by email with each other and BCF. Members should represent interests of their community rather than their personal/business concerns. Travel expenses and lunch at meetings are the only compensation.
Quadra, Cortes and Campbell River can each have up to five representatives who are appointed by BCF but choose their own chairperson who serves on the Coastal Communities Ferry Advisory Committee, a formal advisory board to the provincial Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure.
