I am very happy to introduce Sarah Shead to you as the new SHS Co-Ordinator. She and Aaron
O’Shannessy (who teaches Grade 3-4-5 at the Cortes Island Elementary/ Secondary School) married in the summer. She recently graduated
from Malaspina University-College with a B.A. degree, with a major in First Nations Studies and
a minor in Sociology. She grew up in Campbell River. Her interests include working with people,
First Nations’ culture, community development, dance, music & travel. She moved to Cortes this
summer and is currently working part time at the Cortes Market. Sarah’s enthusiasm, initiative and good work ethic, as well as her gentle and genuine personality will enable her to be a good Co-Ordinator for Seniors Helping Seniors. Sarah will be at the CISS Meeting today to introduce herself.
The meeting starts at 13:30 in the Pioneer Room.
