We are looking for a new Co-ordinator! Are you interested? The co-ordinator of the Seniors Helping Seniors oversees the SHS program, recruiting volunteers to help in various situations, and organizing rides, lunches and activities, with a view to encouraging enjoyable social interaction among seniors on Cortes.
Reporting to a committee of the CISS, the co-ordinator will also maintain all records and participate in applying for fundraising. The position requires administrative and organizational abilities (computer skills would be an asset), excellent phoning and interpersonal skills, and most of all an interest and enjoyment in working with older people.

Wages are $15.00 per hour for an eight-hour week, plus approved expenses. It is essential to have your own transportation and be willing to be available by phone or e-mail.

This position will start on Nov. 1st, 2008, and there will be a two-month probation period. If you have any questions about the job, please contact Ester Strijbos at 935-6441
