This retreat will provide an introduction to the meditation practice of the Four Immeasurables: Equanimity, Loving-Kindness, Compassion, and Joy. On one hand, these practices cultivate these wholesome, virtuous, and admirable qualities. On the other, they assist in dismantling the patterns of perception and behaviour that limit our freedom to be truly present to our experience.
The retreat is open to all, though previous meditation experience is definitely an asset. The weekend will begin on a Friday evening, and continue through Saturday and Sunday and consist of sitting and walking meditation, qi gong, and discussions. A previous starting date is no longer possible and new dates will be announced shortly. It will be held at Dorje Ling on Oke Road. Suggested donation for the retreat is $50.
