As many of you will know, Lama Tashi, the venerated Sakya lama with long associations with Hollyhock passed away recenly in Victoria. One of his last wishes was that students and well-wishers practice the mantra of Chenrezig, OM Mani Padme Hum, in the wake of his passing, dedicating the merit of this to the welfare of all beings.
Lama Tashi had a special connection tom the temple on Oke Road, having consecrated it approximately one year ago. In honour of Geshe and his request, interested students and islanders are invited to participate in the collective accumulation of 100,000 Manis, or Chenrezig mantras. To this end, we will be having a day of Chenrezig practice on Sunday, Oct. 5, from dawn to dusk. Bring your mala (or not) to 800 Oke Road to join in this practice.
